Betadine Dry Powder Spray is a topical antiseptic aerosol containing povidone-iodine 2.5% w/w. The spray leaves a fine powder layer and is intended for minor wound care, such as small cuts and abrasions, according to the product leaflet.

How to use

Shake well before use. Apply a thin layer as directed on the can and leaflet, avoiding the eyes and inhalation. Follow the printed directions for application distance, frequency and duration rather than using more than recommended. Seek medical advice for serious or extensive wounds or burns.

Important precautions

Do not use if allergic to povidone-iodine or any ingredient, or if you have thyroid disease. Ask a pharmacist or doctor before use in children, during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or with other medicines or wound-care preparations. Avoid prolonged use or application over large areas. Stop if irritation develops and seek advice if the wound worsens or is not improving.

Pressurised, flammable container: Keep away from heat, sparks and flames. Do not pierce or burn, even when empty. Protect from sunlight and never expose to temperatures above 50°C. The pictured can specifies storage at or below 25°C. Keep out of children's reach.
